"The Big Blue Marble: Earth’s Place in the Solar System"

We’ll begin our exciting, fun-filled expedition by "blasting off" the third planet from the Sun into the vastness of space to explore our big blue home’s place in the universe. Ever wonder why Mars is called the "red planet" or what makes up the rings of Saturn? What is it like to be an astronaut, fly to the moon, and see our home from there? We’ll get a glimpse into the vastness of space by making sky charts to find the constellations, construct a model of our solar system and a space ship to fly there, as well as making a "star clock" to keep time, “moon pies” that are actually edible, and alien puppets! To say the least, the "sky is not the limit" at KidsCare this month!
