Did you that 97% of the original California redwoods, the largest living things on the planet Earth, have already been cut down? Did you realize that a Styrofoam cup will outlive you by 400 to 500 years when thrown into a landfill? After spending our year exploring the magnificence of our Earth and the people who live in it, we will conclude our year’s journey by looking at what “Each of Us” can do to preserve the beauty, richness, and diversity of our world. We will have fun learning about the five "R’s" … Rethink, Respect, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. We’ll involve ourselves in a recycling contest, make "Earth Matters" posters, hold a "Litter-a-thon", and learn to do our part for the health of our planet Earth!
